PICANOL LAUNCHES FASTER GTMAX-I

Picanol is launching GTMax-i with a reinforced gripper system and heavier machine drive said to allow higher production speeds.The dobby and undermotion have also been redesigned.

On display at Stand A2 in Hall E I, the GTMax-i weaving machine is based on the GT-Max.

As well as showcasing the OMNIplus Summum, Picanol is demonstrating the OMNIplus-X with airjet insertion technology. This machine is produced in Picanol's Suzhou plant in China and uses the OMNIplus 800 technology. It is now available in 280 and 340cm widths,in addition to the existing 190 and 220cm width models.Picanol said special attention has been given when creating this machine to improving output quality and user experience, as well as reducing energy costs.The company's rapier range includes the OptiMax weaving m

achine. One 540cm machine equipped with a batching motion is set to weave a coating fabric and another to create a denim fabric at the show.Picanol's full range of machines caters for apparel, household and technical fabrics.

Five machines are displayed at Picanol's Stand A2, in Hall E I. Additionally,an OMNIplus Summum with jacquard is on display at the Bonas Stand and another at the Staubli Stand.

This year Picanol is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its Suzhou Textile Machinery Works. Today PST houses a complete production unit with three assembly lines for four product types: GT-Max, GTMax-i and GTXplus with rapier technology and OMNIplus-X with airjet insertion technology, a mechatronics division, as well as sales, service and spare parts functions. ment, engineers and technicians have been trained in Belgium. Machines produced in PST aim at the top layer of the mid segment and as well as in China, are proving popular in emerging textile regions outside that country, said Picanol.
