The domestic Chinese market accounts for 90%of sales at knitting machine manufacturer Ningbo Cixing Co Ltd,according to Johnny Lee,company vice president.

With a dedicated focus on in-house R&D,Cixing has developed ten different models from flat knitting to seamless production and hosiery.


The portfolio was enhanced in 2010 with the acquisition of Steiger,incorporating the Swiss manufacturer’s expertis.Both companies are showing on the same stand in Hall E4(Stand B1).China represents 50%of business for Steiger, the other 50%being divided between international market.


Italy is Cixing's biggest European market,into which it sells 200-300 machines annually.Renowned for its textile production,the city of Prato is the largest singIe recipient,purchasing 80%of Cixing’s machines.


In South

America the Chinese manufacturer is experiencing demand from Mexico,a country to which it sells upwards of 300 machines each year. As the cost of labour rises in China's textile industry, Mr Lee reports Cixing is targeting new sales fromBangladesh,Cambodia,Vietnam and Indonesia.
